i followed a good friend of mine back to her hometown in Muar a couple of weeks ago for the weekend…just for fun since i’ve never been to the far south. and along the 2-3 hr drive, we chatted ’bout stuffs - life, bf-s, family … so on.

she also happens to be the youngest in her family; of 1 eldest brother and 1 older sister. so we were sharing about how it was like being the youngest sis and i found that we share some much-too-familiar times growing up with an older brother.

dunno bout some of you, but most of the time i wud lament on being the youngest sister - being bullied and picked on and all. i can still recall some ‘great’ memories of my childhood days with my bro … him experimenting with biji getah - like as if i dunno it’s hot, esp when it’s on my thigh!; him holding the line of the kite already way up in the sky, after i had run with it to catch wind so it can fly!; him always going out with his friends & having a good time while i sit at home n do housechores!; him callling me with ‘new vocabs’ he’d picked up from school; him hogging the radio and torturing me with his endless list of so-called fav songs esp PETER CETERA! - oh! i can still remember the lyrics… of mostly the whole album mind you.

but then, we also shared times dragging asap (ssshhh) and watching vcd-s in his room with a couple of drinks on hand - that was nice; him threatening a guy (some stoopid fool) who jilted me; him being my driver when i miss the school bus in the EARLY MORNING (muahahaha!), watching him get himself pissed drunk with his sama-geng friends and driving him home - not to mention cleaning up his MESS later. ah~ … it goes on.

it’s such an irony, but i felt that the times when we were playing as kids - :-P more like being bullied; did bring us closer together. and no, i’m not complaining; just reminiscing the times we had; wished we had and hope to have in times to come. hahaha… but i sure ain’t going back to those times of inferiority again!
